• Why will my solar lights not work in the shade?

  Solar lights are powered only by direct sunlight. Solar lights that are placed in direct or partial shade will not function properly.

• Will other brand solar light batteries work in the Brinkmann solar lights?

  Solar lights by Brinkmann require a Sanyo 700 M.A. 1.2 Volt Nicad battery.

• Why do my solar lights give off an amber (or blue) light?

  Brinkmann solar lights are available with amber LED or white LED. The light given off by your solar lights will be determined by the LED.

• Are the digital power boxes for my Yard Lights still available?

  These power boxes are no longer available.

• What kind of batteries do the solar lights take? Do Ni-MH batteries work? Do I need a battery charger?

  The solar lights require a Sanyo 700 M.A. 1.2 Volt NiCad battery. They require a nickel-cadmium (NiCad) battery to operate. You do not need a battery charger for your solar lights.

• Can I just replace the top housings on my solar lights?

  The top housings are not sold separately or as replacement parts. You will need to order a complete solar light to replace a broken light in your series.
