Ingredients:
2 cups (1 pound butter or margarine, melted
Juice of 3 lemons
1/2 teaspoon each of thyme, basil, chili powder, oregano, dry mustard, salt and cloves
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon tarragon vinegar
1 tablespoon sugar
2 cloves garlic, minced
Combine all above ingredients. Marinate chicken in sauce 24 hours. Baste chicken with marinade before smoking and at the end of cooking.
Yield: Enough sauce for 4 chickens
